I have 1 of every reel they offer except the hx80 and they are all great reels and great quality. The warranty is unbeatable and when I did have a issue they did replace the reel right away with no issues. There is a US based repair facility and all the parts for the reel are orderable and reasonably priced. I got rid of all my penn reels and was able t replace all my penn reels (which broke all the time) with new gomexus for the price of 1 penn.... will keep buying from here and sending people their way.
I ordered this reel and was somewhat reluctant because of the price. When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by its size. It is much larger than expected. I used it for the first time today and again, I was surprised at how well it worked. I highly recommend this for anyone fishing out deep or for bluefin tuna.
What pound braid should I put on the 80w for shark surf fishing? Should I do straight braid?

I used a RA600D and HX 30 all last season in Alaska on a charter boat for halibut, lingcod, and rockfish. I tested these side by side with my Penn and AVET reels and they are comparable in performance in the one summer I have used them. Anxious to put them to work again this coming summer and looking at adding more to the line up! Will report back again on any changes and review the customer service received when I send them in for overhaul. Thank you for a quality product at a great price point!
