I spend days on fresh & salt. Here in the Pacific NW, it's Spring Chinook, Summer Kings, Summer Steelhead, Fall Chinook/Coho, Winter Steelhead, Bottom fishing, halibut, and/or Dungeness Crab. Year round takes a toll on the body. Hopefully these pliers will hold up too. I would like to see a Kydex sheath. The leather one is fine but salt water will eventually rot it. Love the belt clip.

Very good quality pliers , handle and works well. The shield was great too but the clip on can come off sometimes which is risky if u are fishing and drop the expensive pliers . The belt on are much secure than a clip on

Took a pair to the Bahamas and they worked flawlessly, lite yet strong enough to pull a hook out of a groupers mouth without bending, not the cheapest pair but well worth it and the leather sheaf is great for keeping them on your side 👍
