I was given these by Gomexus for doing a previous review. No pressure to do a review on the sunglasses, but after having used them for a couple months, I have some things to say. First, at the new price of $70, they are a pretty good deal. I thought these were going to feel cheap before I got them in hand: THEY DO NOT. I thought the lenses would be thin and cheap; THEY ARE NOT..these are some thick, very well made lenses. The polarizing is as good as any higher end glasses I’ve tried thus far. I do have one complaint about these glasses: they have a tendency to fog up faster than some of my other glasses. This may have more to do with my face, but I think that the may sit too close to my face and don’t allow enough airflow to pass by the lenses. The fogging issue is really only an issue in stagnant, humid conditions, when you’re sitting still on the bank, but that’s most of my fishing conditions in the summer. All-in-all, I never hesitate to put these on when I head out to go fishing. The case for them and added accessories for cleaning are very nice, quality materials as well. I think anyone who is in the market for a decent pair of sunglasses that doesn’t want to spend over $100 will be very happy with these, and I applaud Gomexus for always striking the sweet spot for value and quality. One pro tip, for whatever sunglasses you have: Never touch the lenses with anything unless you have to. I love to use Dawn Powerwash spray, and my fingers. Then if I want to get really crazy, after I rinse them, I’ll do a final rinse with distilled water and leave them to sit while they dry. If you really want your lenses to last a long long time, and be super clear when you are ready to use them, this is the best way I’ve found!
I have had many so called fishing sunglasses over the years, fished in many tournaments with those so-called special sun glasses but no having a pair of Gomexus glasses I can really tell the difference, quality, materials are light weight; I guess technology has been brought into reality with these sun glasses. Wishing I would have had them before when fishing.
